The authorities of Gabon have shortened the curfew, effective from the moment of the transfer of power, led by General Brice Olega Nguima to the authorities, for the conduct of the referendum.

Official announcements about the measure necessary to ensure public safety have not yet been issued; however, information about strict restrictions on the movement of citizens is already spreading on social networks. According to reports, people in the Gabonese capital Libreville are prohibited from leaving their homes after nine o'clock in the evening.

"We ask all our compatriots to comply with this decision and stay at home in the interests of public safety," emphasized the representative of the authorities.

It is noted that on Tuesday evening, General Nguima announced his takeover of power in the republic through the transfer, which has found wide support in Gabonese society.
